Play Oregon's First Public Golf Course… Opened in 1892!

A grand “auld” links-style golf course with Oregon's most unique clubhouse.

Enjoy traditional golf and the lost art of hospitality at Gearhart Golf Links.

Gearhart Golf Links is a public course with 18 holes of spectacular, links-style golf located in the town of Gearhart on the Beautiful North Oregon Coast. We offer annual memberships, and also welcome all golfers (even our friends up North of the border) of all skill levels for daily fee play.

The course opened in 1892 as three holes strewn across the sand dunes, is the oldest course in the northwest and arguably in the Western United States.

To this day, the course retains that classic links-style flavor, with a hint of traditional Northwest design features. It plays 6,218 yards from the back tees and 5,353 yards from the front tees.

If you're a true golf enthusiast/historian, you'll like our adherence to some of golf's finer traditions – like the links-style layout, close-in pro shop, pub and first tee, and a real treat: our old-fashioned “practice field” that's part of our practice facilities.

Services include: the Northwest's favorite “McMenamins Sandtrap” full service restaurant and pub, pro shop, golf instruction, power and push carts, and clubs for rent. Annual memberships are available. Group outings and tournaments are always welcomed — and you don't have to be a member to book your golf event here! continued...
